Sometimes being unaware of the Film industry does help. This was the reason, Jiah Khan was able to deliver a bold and stunning performance in her debut Nishabd opposite the famous bollywood icon
Amitabh Bachchan. Her ignorance towards the industry helped her to perform her role in the movie with ease and confidence. Coming from a very different background, Jiah Khan was born on February 20, 1988 in New York. Jiah has been brought up single handedly by her mother Rabiya. Later, Jiah shifted to London where she completed her A’ levels in film studies and literature at the Lee Strasberg’s Institute.
Apart from acting, Jiah has a deep passion for singing and has received formal training in classical opera. Jiah also knows to play the piano. She also has a great dancing talent and has mastered in a variety of forms of dancing including belly dancing, lambada, salsa, jazz, reggae, kathak and samba.
Even though her debut Nishabd didn’t do spectacularly well at the box-office, her talent was noticed and offers have been pouring but this newcomer is being patient. A multi-talented newcomer all set to stay for long in this cut-throat and competitive industry.
